Royal Jozini Private Game Reserve in the south-eastern lowveld of Eswatini has recently updated their website, not only with a new logo, but with amazing videos of the spectacular scenery.
Set in Eswatini’s lowveld, but on the slopes of the majestic Lubombo Mountains, Royal Jozini is a private game reserve where investors have built private homes in the bush. Some of these are available, on a self catering basis, for people to enjoy this breathtaking reserve, with its 5 eco systems, pristine bushveld and wealth of animals.
With three of the big 5 – elephants, leopard and buffalo, as well as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, nyala and waterbuck to name a few, this is truly a nature lovers’ paradise.
Abounding with wildlife (the reserve is at full capacity!) from elephants to tiny bats and everything in between, game sightings are amazing. Royal Jozini has 3 of the Big 5 – elephant, leopard and buffalo, as well as a thriving herd of giraffe, with many family groupings of zebra, kudu, nyala and waterbuck. There are warthogs and bush pigs, the dainty klip springers, and the curious wildebeest. And amazingly, over 300 species of birds have been identified there!
Royal Jozini welcomes avid sport fishermen to come to catch the mighty tigerfish and explorers to discover the many eco systems of wetland, rare arid-vel and grasslands, and the varied trees and shrubs of both mountains and valleys. The diversity of environments in this reserve is breathtaking.
The Reserve is not open for day visitors to roam and can only be accessed freely by guests staying in the range of luxury accommodations they offer. However, guided game drive from the gate can be pre-booked at R375 per adult and R150 for 16 and under children. Please be aware that there are no public pools, no restaurant and no picnic spots.
