IT&CMA 2025 Welcome Remarks by Mr Darren Ng, Managing Director, TTG Asia.
23 September 2025 – Bangkok, Thailand
The 33rd IT&CMA and 28th CTW Asia-Pacific officially opened in Bangkok with an inspiring welcome address from Mr. Darren Ng, Managing Director of TTG Asia Media, who invited delegates to embrace the event’s spirit of collaboration, learning, and innovation.
“Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for being here with us, and a very warm welcome to the 33rd IT&CMA and the 28th CTW Asia-Pacific,” Mr. Ng began, expressing delight at the strong turnout of international delegates ready to “reconnect, exchange ideas, and be inspired by a diverse programme of activities.”
Highlighting the event’s dynamic agenda, Mr. Ng encouraged participants to explore the “many collaboration opportunities our exhibitors have prepared,” adding that “each one brings valuable knowledge, fresh perspectives, and innovative solutions that can help shape the future of our industry.”
This year’s edition introduces a robust line-up of new conferences, learning sessions, and workshops, developed in partnership with leading global MICE organisations including the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Global MICE Collaborative (comprising SITE, Meetings Professionals International (MPI), and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE)), as well as PATA and Tastebud.
Among the highlights is an inaugural wellness and mindfulness session, designed to “explore how we can make business gatherings more fulfilling, less stressful, and ultimately more meaningful for everyone involved.” Delegates can also look forward to a comprehensive programme of expert-led discussions, knowledge sessions, and the return of the popular live interactive game created in partnership with Asia Ability, providing a fun and engaging way to connect, earn points, and win prizes.
A major milestone for 2025 is the first-ever collaboration between IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific powered by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). The session titled “Bleisure & Hush Trips: The Corporate Risk Dilemma” will feature panel discussions and peer exchanges on how corporate travel is evolving as business and leisure continue to converge.
Mr. Ng also drew attention to innovative networking formats, such as BizMatch & Meet and Meet the Corporates, which offer structured yet dynamic opportunities for one-on-one engagement.
This year’s event proudly welcomes over 270 destinations and brands and nearly 400 MICE, association, and corporate buyers representing more than 50 countries and territories.
Expressing gratitude to Thailand’s tourism and MICE partners, Mr. Ng acknowledged the steadfast support of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT), Airports of Thailand (AOT), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and Thai Airways International.
“As we embark on this journey together,” he said, “I encourage you to take full advantage of the professional growth and networking opportunities ahead. Connect, learn, and be inspired by the innovation and expertise around you.”
Concluding his remarks, Mr. Ng shared his hopes for the days ahead:
“I wish everyone an inspiring and enjoyable time at IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2025.”
