Cebu Welcomes ATF TRAVEX 2026 as ASEAN Tourism Gathers to Navigate the Future Together

Cebu, Philippines | 16 January 2026 — As host of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) TRAVEX 2026, the Philippines prepares to welcome delegates to Cebu. The country aims to support meaningful regional tourism exchange. At the same time, it seeks to strengthen collaboration across the ASEAN community.

One of the key highlights of ATF 2026 is the National Tourism Organisation (NTO) Briefings, scheduled for 28 and 29 January 2026. During these sessions, ASEAN member states will present market updates and new initiatives. Importantly, Timor-Leste, ASEAN’s newest member, will also participate. As a result, delegates will gain timely insights into emerging destinations, new products, and future travel strategies across Southeast Asia.

In addition, ATF 2026 will deliver a full programme of official events. These include a Hosted Luncheon by Tourism Malaysia on 28 January 2026 at Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort, as well as the ASEANTA Excellence Awards Night. The programme also features the ATF 2026 Opening Ceremony, hosted by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines. Furthermore, the Singapore Tourism Board will host a reception and dinner to welcome delegates to ATF 2027. The event will conclude with the ASEAN Tourism Standard Awards and Closing Ceremony at the NUSTAR Convention Centre.

Meanwhile, ATF TRAVEX 2026 will be supported by four official hotels: Crimson Resort & Spa, Mactan, Cebu; Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu; Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort; and The Reef Island Resort Mactan, Cebu. In addition, eight partner hotels across Lapu-Lapu City will offer special delegate rates. These include Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort, Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa, Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu, JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Mactan, Savoy Hotel Mactan, Mercure Hotel Mactan Cebu, BE Resort Mactan, and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu.

About ATF 2026

The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) is a regional initiative that promotes ASEAN as a single tourism destination. Notably, ATF TRAVEX is the longest-running annual leisure travel trade event in the region. It also showcases the largest collective of ASEAN tourism sellers.

The forum brings together all sectors of the tourism industry from the 11 ASEAN Member Nations: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

ATF rotates annually among member countries. In 2026, the Philippines will host the forum. This edition marks the 45th anniversary of ATF since its launch in Malaysia in 1981.
