Set high on Pratamnak Hill, Cross Pattaya Pratamnak looks across the treetops towards the Gulf of Thailand. The 78-room hotel combines sea views, contemporary comfort and the character of a colonial-style mansion, offering a more peaceful base within easy reach of Pattaya and Jomtien. Pattaya may be best known for its busy beachfront, nightlife and entertainment, but Pratamnak shows another side of the city. This largely residential district lies between central Pattaya and Jomtien, with small beaches, restaurants and cafés scattered around the hillside. Cross Pattaya Pratamnak makes good use of that setting. Its elevated position opens up views across Pattaya Bay and creates an appealing backdrop at sunset. At the same time, mature trees and landscaped grounds give the hotel a sense of privacy that can be difficult to find closer to the centre.

A building with a story
The Cross Pattaya Prata hotel is built around a colonial-influenced property with more than 50 years of history. Studio NDT, the Bangkok practice responsible for the redesign, retained the building’s original character while adding contemporary architecture, landscaping and interiors. The project was completed in 2022. White façades, arches and formal lines recall a colonial mansion, while cream, grey and natural timber tones soften the public areas and guestrooms. The combination feels polished but relaxed, allowing the surrounding greenery and Gulf views to remain central to the experience. With 78 rooms and suites, the property is relatively intimate by Pattaya resort standards. It feels closer to a private residential retreat than a large beach hotel.
Six room and suite categories
Earlier descriptions of Cross Pattaya Pratamnak refer to five room categories. The hotel’s current accommodation guide now lists six, following the addition of an Elite Two Bedroom Ocean Suite.
The 27-square-metre Urban Room has a king or twin beds and looks towards the gardens. An extra bed can be added for a third adult.
The Luxury Ocean View Room is the same size but faces the sea. Guests can choose a king or twin beds, with space for a third adult on an extra bed.
Families have a practical option in the 43-square-metre Family Room, which comes with a king bed, bunk beds and a larger garden-view balcony. It accommodates two adults and two children, while a third adult can stay on an extra bed. Connecting accommodation may be requested, subject to availability.
The 43-square-metre Elite Suite has a king bed and a six-square-metre balcony overlooking the gardens. It is intended for two guests, although an extra bed can be arranged for a third.
For more space and a stronger sea view, the Elite Executive Ocean Suite measures 52 square metres. It includes a king bed, a freestanding bathtub and a 15-square-metre balcony overlooking the Gulf.
The largest option is the Elite Two Bedroom Ocean Suite. It has 95 square metres of interior space, two king bedrooms and a 21-square-metre sea-view balcony. The master bathroom has a freestanding bathtub. The suite accommodates four adults as standard, with extra beds available for up to two more guests.
Every room and suite has a private balcony, but the outlook varies. Travellers booking primarily for the view should choose one of the categories specifically described as ocean-facing.

Dining at SEASALT and KLIFF Beach
The hotel’s main restaurant, SEASALT, is a modern bistro serving Thai and international food. Breakfast includes a buffet and dishes prepared to order. As the name suggests, sea salt appears as a recurring ingredient across parts of the food and cocktail menus.
BITE BOX is the casual stop for pastries, ice cream, coffee, tea, juices and light meals. Beside the lobby, C Lounge provides a private space for guests who have booked the relevant privileges.
Across Kasetsin Road, KLIFF Beach Bistro & Bar connects the hotel more directly with the coast. Its cream-toned, contemporary design and open outlook create a relaxed setting for lunch, drinks or dinner by the sea. Guests can walk across from the hotel and continue towards the beachfront.
KLIFF is also open to outside diners, so booking ahead is advisable, particularly around sunset and at weekends.
Time by the pool or in the spa
The saltwater swimming pool sits at the heart of the hotel grounds, framed by white architecture and tropical planting. It is one of the most attractive areas of the property and provides a quiet alternative to the nearby beach.
Moon Spa offers Thai massage, body treatments and after-sun care. Treatments use Thai herbal ingredients and products from Thai wellness brand PAÑPURI. The spa’s white, pearl-grey and timber interior follows the calm design found throughout the hotel.
Guests who want to remain active can use Cloud Club, the hotel’s gym and wellness space. It has cardio equipment and room for yoga, while private yoga classes and personal training can be arranged with advance notice.
The hotel also has flexible meeting and event rooms on the mezzanine level, along with on-site parking and electric-vehicle charging.
Who will it suit?
Cross Pattaya Pratamnak should appeal to couples, families and independent travellers who want a quieter stay without being cut off from Pattaya. The six room categories cover short breaks, family trips and longer stays, while the spa, saltwater pool and KLIFF Beach give guests good reasons to spend time close to the hotel.
The hillside location is part of its appeal, although the slopes may prove challenging for some visitors. The hotel does not currently advertise a shuttle service, so taxis, ride-hailing services or private transport are the most practical choices for journeys into central Pattaya.
For travellers who associate Pattaya only with its crowded central beach and nightlife, Cross Pattaya Pratamnak offers a different experience: sea views through the trees, an attractive historic building and a slower pace on one of the city’s quieter hillsides.
