ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024, Vientiane, Laos – Unravel Travel TV

ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024 to Focus on Quality, Responsible Tourism, and Innovation.

ATF 2024 will take place from the 22-27 January 2024 in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Celebrating its 43rd year, the ATF serves as a pivotal platform. Uniting all ten ASEAN member states to promote the region as a unified tourist destination.

ATF 2024 is gearing up to be more innovative than ever. ASEANTA (ASEAN Tourism Association) collaborates closely with the host nation, Laos. The event will bring together major travel trade players, MP International (MPI), technology company Fusionex, and official media partner Travel Weekly Asia.

The TRAVEX sessions, which take place from 24-26 January 2024, remain one of the most anticipated parts of the ATF. Serving as a specialized arena for international buyers to forge and fortify ties with ASEAN tourism providers. TRAVEX promises opportunities for networking and business meetings.

Parallelly, the ASEAN Tourism Conference (ATC) offers a deep dive into the latest industry trends, facilitated by seasoned experts. With digitalization and sustainability at the forefront, the conference promises a blend of traditional wisdom and modern innovation.

Emphasizing the forum’s thrust on responsible tourism and digital innovation, ASEANTA president, Eddy Soemawilaga stated. “The ATF 2024 website showcases a pioneering digital platform that streamlines interactions between buyers and sellers.”

The Laos Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism is also ramping up preparations, focusing on enriching tourism infrastructure, activities, and services. This move aligns with the significant events in store for Laos in 2024. These include chairing the ASEAN Summit and launching the Visit Laos Year 2024.

Under the banner “Quality and Responsible Tourism – Sustaining ASEAN Future,”. ATF 2024 reflects the united commitment of ASEAN nations towards fostering community, sustainability, and responsible tourism in the region.

Two veterans, Jason Ng, MPI Executive Director, and Irene Chua, publisher of Travel Weekly Asia, are joining forces once more. Both were integral to launching Laos’ inaugural ATF in 2004. Their return promises a fresh and enriched ATF experience for all delegates.
