Seegrotte Hinterbrühl is located in the Hinterbrühl region of the Vienna Woods. 30 km from the center of Vienna is the Seegrotte, a cave with the largest underground lake in Europe. The underground lake is a former gypsum mine on three levels. Grey and red gypsum was mined here as agricultural fertilizer from 1848 to 1912.
