Singapore’s largest purpose-built MICE venue will present its event facilities, international connectivity and sustainability programme to buyers and planners attending IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026.
Singapore EXPO will exhibit at IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event takes place from 22–24 September at the Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. The organisers named Singapore EXPO among the first confirmed exhibitors for the 2026 event. Business Events Perth and Visit Almaty were also included in the initial announcement.
Singapore EXPO’s participation will connect the venue with international meeting planners, incentive travel specialists andassociation executives. Corporate travel buyers, destination management companies and event organisers will also attend.
Singapore’s Largest Purpose-Built MICE Venue
Singapore EXPO is the country’s largest purpose-built meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions venue. It is located at 1 Expo Drive in Singapore’s Changi precinct. The complex provides 123,000 square metres of interconnected indoor and outdoor event space. Its facilities include ten exhibition halls and 32 meeting rooms across two levels. Therefore, organisers can combine large exhibition areas with conference sessions, workshops and private meetings.
The venue can accommodate events ranging from approximately 50 to 50,000 participants. This flexibility allows Singapore EXPO to host both small corporate gatherings and major international events. Each of its main exhibition halls provides up to 10,000 square metres of column-free space. Individual halls can accommodate up to 9,000 people, depending on the layout. Moreover, organisers can connect several halls to create a continuous event area. High ceilings and substantial floor-loading capacity support industrial exhibitions and specialist events. The halls can also accommodate large equipment, temporary structures, stages and customised exhibition stands.
Meeting Rooms and Conference Facilities
Singapore EXPO’s 32 meeting rooms connect directly with the exhibition halls. As a result, delegates can move between conferences, exhibitions and smaller breakout sessions without leaving the complex. The rooms support seminars, training programmes, board meetings, workshops and gala functions. They also provide space for event offices, media briefings and VIP meetings.
High-performance Wi-Fi, audiovisual equipment and technical support are available throughout the venue. In addition, Singapore EXPO provides catering, event management and hybrid event services. The meeting facilities form part of a convention wing introduced in 2012. This development added approximately 12,000 square metres of meeting space and expanded the venue’s conference capabilities.
Apex and Arena at Singapore EXPO
Singapore EXPO has also developed specialist spaces for conferences, concerts and live events. Apex @ EXPO is a flexible venue with capacity for up to 9,000 people. It includes a large stage, tiered seating options, audiovisual systems and a dedicated pre-function area. The space can host international conferences, plenary sessions, concerts and immersive productions.
Arena @ EXPO provides a plug-and-play indoor venue for mid-sized events. It can accommodate up to 6,700 people. Flexible stage arrangements and integrated production systems support concerts, lifestyle events and corporate presentations. These facilities allow Singapore EXPO to extend beyond traditional trade exhibitions. The venue can now support a wider combination of business, entertainment and public events.
Development Since 1999
Singapore EXPO opened in 1999 with six exhibition halls. Four additional halls opened in 2005 as demand for larger regional and international events increased. The convention and meeting-room wing followed in 2012. Consequently, the complex developed into an integrated venue for exhibitions, conferences, business meetings and social functions.
Singapore EXPO is managed by Constellar, a Singapore-based MICE venue management and event organisation group. Constellar reports that the venue welcomed more than 100 million visitors across approximately 12,000 events during its first 25 years. The venue has hosted international trade exhibitions, technology conferences, medical congresses, industrial events, consumer shows, sporting competitions and concerts.
Close to Singapore Changi Airport
Connectivity remains one of Singapore EXPO’s main advantages for international events. The venue is approximately ten minutes by road from Singapore Changi Airport. It is also about 20 minutes from Singapore’s city centre, depending on traffic. Expo MRT station is located beside the venue. The station connects with the East–West and Downtown lines of Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit system. Therefore, delegates can travel directly to the venue by public transport.
The site also sits close to three major expressways and provides more than 1,900 parking spaces. Hotels, business facilities and restaurants are available throughout the surrounding Changi area. This location can reduce transfer times for overseas delegates. It can also make short business visits and regional conferences easier to organise.
Sustainability and Renewable Energy
Sustainability has become an important part of Singapore EXPO’s development. The venue operates an 11.4-megawatt-peak solar installation containing close to 20,000 panels. According to Singapore EXPO, the system can generate approximately 12 gigawatt-hours of renewable electricity each year. It can also avoid an estimated 5,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. Smart sensors adjust lighting and room temperatures according to visitor levels and available natural light. Energy-efficient cooling systems also help reduce electricity consumption.
An onsite food digester can process approximately 365 tonnes of food waste each year. Water dispensers, recycling facilities and digital information screens help reduce single-use materials and general event waste. The venue has achieved Platinum certification under Singapore’s MICE Sustainability Certification framework. It also holds BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy certification. Event organisers can request information about energy consumption, waste and carbon emissions. This helps companies and associations measure the environmental impact of their events.
Returning to IT&CMA
Singapore EXPO also participated in IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2025. During the event, Eileen Quek, Assistant Director of International Sales, presented the venue’s facilities and sustainability strategy. Unravel Travel TV recorded the Singapore EXPO presentation at IT&CMA 2025, providing an overview of the venue’s development, connectivity and approach to international events. Its return in 2026 reflects the importance of IT&CMA as a platform for reaching MICE buyers from Asia-Pacific and other international markets. At the time of publication, the organisers had not announced Singapore EXPO’s stand number or the names of its 2026 representatives.
Meet Singapore EXPO at IT&CMA 2026
Buyers attending IT&CMA 2026 will have an opportunity to discuss event requirements with Singapore EXPO. They can assess exhibition space, meeting-room options, technical services and sustainable event solutions. The venue’s participation will also allow planners to consider Singapore for future international conferences, association meetings, trade exhibitions and corporate events.
