Tourism leaders from across Southeast Asia gathered in Cebu this week as the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA) unveiled the winners of the 35th ASEANTA Tourism Awards of Excellence, a long-standing regional programme that highlights best-in-class performance across the ASEAN tourism sector. Staged alongside the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026, the awards formed part of one of the region’s most important annual tourism awards.

- Best ASEAN Cultural Preservation Effort Award: Borneo Nature Tours Sdn Bhd, Malaysia
- Best ASEAN Eco-Lodge: Borneo Nature Tours Sdn Bhd, Malaysia
- Best ASEAN Hotel Package: Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa, Malaysia
- Best ASEAN Marketing & Promotional Program: AirAsia MOVE, Malaysia
- Best ASEAN New Tourism Attraction Award: Enchanted Kingdom Inc., Philippines
- Best ASEAN Sustainability Program: Sudamala Resorts, Indonesia
- Best ASEAN Tour Operator: CSL Travel & Tours, Cambodia
- Best ASEAN Travel Article: Shroff Travel, Philippines
This year’s recipients reflect the diversity of ASEAN’s tourism landscape, spanning convention infrastructure, tour operations, accommodation, attractions, and destination marketing initiatives. In the Philippines, SMX Convention Centre was named Best ASEAN Convention Centre, while Enchanted Kingdom Inc. received the award for Best ASEAN New Tourism Attraction. Shroff Travel was recognised for Best ASEAN Travel Article, highlighting the continued importance of storytelling and editorial influence in destination promotion.
Malaysia featured prominently among the winners, with Borneo Nature Tours Sdn Bhd receiving two awards for Best ASEAN Cultural Preservation Effort and Best ASEAN Eco-Lodge. Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa was recognised for Best ASEAN Hotel Package, and AirAsia MOVE received the award for Best ASEAN Marketing & Promotional Programme. Elsewhere in the region, Sudamala Resorts of Indonesia was named Best ASEAN Sustainability Programme, while CSL Travel & Tours of Cambodia received the Best ASEAN Tour Operator award.
ASEANTA expressed its appreciation to the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines and the Department of Tourism of the Philippines for their close collaboration and support in hosting the awards in Cebu, contributing to the successful delivery of the ceremony as part of ATF 2026.
